Wellesley Public Media guidelines on submitting imported programs
Imported Programming submissions must be uploaded to the Mass Media Exchange at http://www.massaccess.org/mymasstv
Imported programs are those programs that are produced by people that are not members of the Wellesley Public Media. This type of programming is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis once all of following requirements have been satisfied.
- In order for an imported program to be cablecast on the local cable channel in Wellesley a local sponsor must be found. Local sponsors must live, work, or attend school in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
- Once a local sponsor is found the producer of the imported program or series needs to complete and sign a "Program Sponsorship" form and forward it to the local sponsor who must also sign the form.
- If the local sponsor is not a current member of the Wellesley Public Media, Inc. they must complete an annual membership form and submit this along with a $15.00 annual membership fee to a staff person at our studio. Check or cash payments are accepted. Proof of affiliation to Wellesley is required when you submit the form and payment.
- Once the membership materials and the program sponsorship form have been completed and submitted the imported program or series is cleared for cablecast in Wellesley.
Wellesley Public Media allocates a portion of the programming schedule to imported programming and will accept new submissions as long as there is room in the schedule. Once the schedule is full, future submissions will be placed on a waiting list on a first-come, first-serve basis until a time slot opens up. Imported series programs will receive a time slot for one-year and will need to resubmit a new request for each additional year. Monthly series submissions are due one week prior to the start of the month in which they will run. If a submission is late or missing the series will loose it's allocated time slot and the next series on the waiting list will move into that slot.
